Fear of Failure: Is it stopping you? Read on to see.
FEAR OF FAILURE
Whenever I speak with or interview successful and exciting people, I always walk away with a sense of awe regarding their lack of fear in their pursuit of a worthy goal. Yet, I wonder if the fear of failure for most of us is the biggest obstacle in our attempt to live a life that is more fulfilling and joyful.
This fear of failing at any personal or professional endeavor can be so strong that we sit on the "sidelines" of life, watching other people playing their best game. The phrases "I wish I had their confidence . . . their life . . . their money . . . their relationships . . . their faith" continue to surface as we long for an existence that is full of energy and meaning. And yet, if we examine the road we've taken to get us to where we are today, I wonder if it is full of decisions that we've made to minimize the chance to fail rather than one in which we've tried to maximize the chances to be more successful. Do you see the immense difference here? People who are playing life "safe" are handcuffed, partially immobilized by the fear of how they may be judged by others if their quest doesn't turn out the way they had hoped. On the other hand, those who are trying to maximize their lives are looking for opportunities to excite them, stretch them, make them show up and take the exciting chances that life has to offer. And please don't confuse these people with blind risk takers. Quite the contrary. Many of these successful people are far from daredevils. Maybe their relationship is so strong because they chose someone based on an internal connection rather than choosing someone who others would approve of. They looked past race, color, religion, and chose someone they knew they could love at the deepest possible level.
Evaluate your life and determine today if your fear of failure is the one obstacle that you must learn to release so that the life of energy and joy you desire becomes reality.

Chinese Good Luck Totem: Rules to Live By
After reading the following "rules to live by," I knew I had to share these words with as many people as possible. Enjoy the wisdom here, and then share this with your family and friends.
ONE: Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
TWO: Marry the man or woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.
THREE: Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have, or sleep all you want.
FOUR: When you say, “I love you,” mean it.
FIVE: When you say, “I'm sorry,” look the person in the eye.
SIX: Be engaged at least six months before you get married.
SEVEN: Believe in love at first sight.
EIGHT: Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.
NINE: Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
TEN: In disagreements, fight fairly. No name-calling.
ELEVEN: Don't judge people by their relatives.
TWELVE: Talk slowly but think quickly.
THIRTEEN: When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, “Why do you want to know?”
FOURTEEN: Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
FIFTEEN: Say “bless you” when you hear someone sneeze.
SIXTEEN: When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
SEVENTEEN: Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; Responsibility for all your actions.
EIGHTEEN: Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
NINETEEN: When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
TWENTY: Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.
TWENTY-ONE: Spend some time alone.

Slow down, be love today.

Letting Go: A Key to Success in life
This could mean that we have to let go of impatience, control, and resentments against others and ourselves in order to find the inner peace we so desire.
It might mean we have to let go of the thought that "when these things change, I'll really be happy", in order to focus on your happiness today. Actually you can create happiness today with nothing changing. Yes, very possible indeed.
Or maybe it's time to let go of an addiction to alcohol, food, spending or drugs in order to bring in the clarity needed to truly love yourself.
Or letting go of a known religious or spiritual path so that your mind can be opened to a deeper connection with the Divine.
It could mean letting go of a job that you cannot stand in order to find one that you become thrilled about! Or letting go of a relationship that may not be right for you or your partner, so that you have the space open to bring into your lives individuals more compatible with where you currently are in life.
Before we create, there has to be space in your life open and available for this "new thing" to fit into.
Slow down and look at areas of your life that are not serving you, and decide today to address them or let them go. Your intuition, your higher self, is the best council to ask for advice that will be the right answer for you.
Ask trusted friends for their advice, then remember that You alone must make the end decision. Letting go is the key to creating a more successful life.

Surprises Along the Spiritual Path
One of the quests we were put on that weekend was to try and discover the one area of life that we would like to see a radical shift occur in. After deliberation, I decided to stick with the goal I had selected a few days before and that the financial arena is where my greatest growth could come from in order that I might more powerfully affect this world. I created my intention and shared it with the group.
Almost instantly, a woman who had been on the sideline watching my reading of my goal almost jumped out of her skin and said "David you've got it all wrong, it's your spiritual path that you need to focus on. That's where your greatest gifts are, THAT'S WHERE YOUR ATTENTION SHOULD BE. GETTING CLOSER TO GOD, SPREADING HIS WORD IS THE INTENTION YOU SHOULD FOCUS ON."
As I capitalize these words for effect, you get the picture of the enthusiasm she had in sharing her beliefs with me. I was just stunned, not only by what she said but in the manner she said it. I looked around the room, thinking that maybe someone else might speak up, but it was just her and I.
After talking to her for a few minutes in front of the group, I once again looked for help from someone else who might see things differently, so that I had the support I needed to keep my initial intention intact. None came.
It was evident that I needed to think about her statements, as many times God uses people as messengers, and often these messengers have messages we may not initially agree with. I went home that night and prayed, trying to see if her words would ring true, and when I awoken the next morning I did in fact see how powerful her message was to me.
Yes, she was right. Yes in fact her words made me go directly to God who gave me the same answer. Approximately a year or so later, I was the co-founder of a brand new church in Fort Myers Florida, something that I am so thrilled to be a part of, but definitely a surprise along my own spiritual path. It reminds me of a conversation I had with Deepak Chopra during an interview several years ago regarding the topic "How to know God." The way to know God is to talk with him, to daily create the space and time to be in communion.
I had gone into a workshop to learn how to manifest money, and had come out with the drive to become closer to God.
Slow down and be open today to the surprises in store for you, if you are open, along your own spiritual path.

The Power to Manifest Your Desires
It's a very powerful question, and one that I love to hear.
The power to manifest resides in everyone, at any given moment. But just because we can manifest, just because you have the tools to do so, doesn't mean that you will get all that you desire instantly.
And for 1,000 reasons, this is a very good thing.
But, if you follow the proven steps of anyone who has dedicated their life to this work, you will see what seems like miracles in your life. And, many teachers will have some similar, and some very different ways to manifest.
Within our course, we keep our system simple, yet the results are profound.
Healing miracles have occurred. Huge increases in income. Marriages headed for divorce have been saved.
What I tell every student of these courses is the same. Yes you will manifest some things very quickly, and others will seem to come much more slowly. But if you stay on course, the life experiences that you have during the "slow to occur" accomplishments will blow your mind.
Like the people you'll meet, or the love you'll feel from out of nowhere. Or the immense increase in confidence.
Go after your dreams, and along the way, remember this.
Let go of the end result. Stay in each moment, of each day. There you will manifest heaven on earth.
Slow Down.

Investing in Yourself as a Path to Abundance
Abundance in this sense is often tied into financial abundance, but it honestly can relate to any type of abundance at all. One might desire a greater abundance of love...time...happiness, as well as or separate from money.
So, how are you currently investing in yourself in order to create greater financial abundance? Are you creating a budget recall plan to see where your money is being spent each week? Are you working with a financial planner, or life coach? Are you taking any personal growth courses? (Remember, these courses do not have to be directly related to enhancing your finances to get you thinking and acting in a more abundant way, which will ultimately enhance your overall abundance. ) Are you currently reading any books, listening to cd's, or watching dvd's on personal growth?
Each of these activities , if you are doing them on a regular basis, would prove that you are investing in yourself and would absolutely lead you to greater abundance. We need to be investing in ourselves, in our own growth on a weekly, if not daily basis, in order to see a shift in our outer world.
Abundance in regards to finances takes the same energy exchange, intention and action steps that abundance in love demands. If you desire more love, you must put the time and effort into expanding your capability to give more love.
Simple isn't it? =)
Slow down.
Whatever abundance you desire, invest in yourself today in order to bring it into your life. Put yourself into situations that create the feeling of abundance, like looking at magazines that have photo's of beautiful vacation villas overlooking an expansive beach... if that is your idea of abundant living.
If you desire abundance, take the time to invest in your own growth, and watch it become your reality.
