Live With Joy Every Moment …

“One of the most moving experiences from my radio-show days occurred during one of the many interviews I did with musician and author Meat Loaf. He recalled a story that shook me to my core and made me realize more than ever that I need to live with joy every moment that I’m alive.

While at a record-signing event that lasted for hours, a couple came up to meet Meat Loaf and asked for his autograph. The woman seemed shy, and the singer could tell that there was something on the young man’s mind as well.

Well, the man told Meat Loaf that his music had saved his girlfriend’s life. She had gone to a hotel room, put a pistol in her mouth, and just as she was about to pull the trigger, Meat Loaf’s song “Heaven Can Wait” came on the radio. It moved her so deeply that she slowed down and removed the gun from her mouth. She realized that even though she was in deep pain, her life still had great value.”
