"When I look back at the past 20 years, I see the girlfriends I chose and the men I chose to date, all met my expectations to be drama filled. Big breath, as I surge ahead with such wonderful calmness. David has a knack for getting to the root of issues quickly and then focuses us on solutions. Yes, I have sent several of my girlfriends to him and they are all getting the same end result. Talk to him and see for yourself. Love and intimacy are now flowing through my life, my relationship is finally on track for good." — Karyn
"David helped us rebuild our marriage after an affair. He lovingly guided us through reestablishing trust, deepening our love through divine union, identifying thoughts and behaviors that were not serving us and communicating more effectively. We both credit David with not only saving our marriage, but also helping us build a stronger, more spiritual and happier marriage. We can't imagine how we could have done this without him. He is amazing. We will be eternally grateful. What you will learn through his work and workshops will change your love life forever!" — Angela and Mark
"Sex was never a topic I could ever talk openly about with my love partners until I took David's seminar. What an eye opener! I also held a lot of guilt about sex and all of these issue were resolved in his work. Now I easily and openly discuss love, intimacy and sex, and my current fiancĂ©e is so happy with my approach to love that I have taught him much from what I learned with David! Go today, you will forever be happy." — Tabitha and Rick
"David made this workshop so much fun! As a single guy I had no idea what I was in for. I realized I had never spoken honestly with women because of my fear of being judged. I am free now, and finally in a healthy relationship." — David Attorney
"When David told me I had to let go of old dating patterns and alter my beliefs about soul mates and finding the perfect guy, I almost quit right there. I am so glad I didn't! Oh my gosh! Eight weeks later I had such a clear view of my patterns in love, removed them, and yes fell in love! I tell everyone that without David's coaching workshop I would still be single and miserable. I am now married for eight years, and so grateful I came to him for help. He knows his stuff." — Cathy, single for 6 years

Sacred Sexuality: Intimacy, Love and More

When I first heard the terms "Sacred Sexuality", I imagined some type of ancient rituals surrounding sex that someone had to learn from a master or guru. Over the years as I delved into this topic more, I have seen firsthand that everyone can reach this exalted state with their partner, if they really want to. And, with little or no training.

Now, if you have the chance to attend workshops on sensuality, tantra, sexual intimacy or more, absolutely do so! But, if you watch this short video, you can literally transform your intimate union with your partner in a very short period of time.

Slow down and find the sacredness in your intimate relationship in order to experience the divine in physical form today.

Texting During Sex 2 : Your Comments....WoW...

"As a psychotherapist with , like you David many years of experience, I must say that the woman who texted during sex either is coming from a sense of entitlement, where her needs in that moment were much more important than his or theirs, or she may have an emotional blockage. You described it as "dissociation", a powerful mechanism designed to keep us from full emotional vulnerability and attachment in love. I hope either way she finds herself with a great therapist or coach, and honestly describes what she was doing during intimacy with this man. and I hope he heals well, that is hell to put someone through. It's looked at as a form of betrayal, which shatters trust in love. "

"ok, no one reading this will be a fan of mine. Honestly, I used to do that kind of crap regularly to a former boyfreind, and I'm not proud of it now. My therapist told me it was because I was afraid of depth, I was self centered, so I would do whatever was of most interest to me, whatever made me comfortable. I would slide away from being in good contact with him during the day, occaisionally grab the cell during sex. I usually got my way in relationships...a pretty lame way to live. I've left guys hanging during events that they really wanted me at.
That was a few years ago, and when one guy finally put me in my place, I went and got help. this is not the first time I bet this chick treated this guy poorly, either. I know that for sure. "

"I swear it is getting worse and worse. Total lack of regard. What's worse is, she probably has him totally controlled by random acts of hurt and manipulation such as this."

"This is funny and sad. Nobody is aware of the ppl around them anymore. Just go out to dinner or coffee, every one is texting wile they are with there loved ones or friends. We are so disconnected from each-other. "

"Hi David. Very interesting posting. It's sad that we are living in a society that it has resulted in to text messaging during something as wonderful as sex. I am glad your client has been able to move on from this experience. I agree with Doris' posting. "

If you see yourself in this situation, where you are not respecting the person you are with, get help. To actually think that someone could be texting while their lover is performing oral sex on them, just get the picture in your mind right now, is so very sad.

Staying present in love: The key to deep intimacy

Of all of the keys to keeping love alive in a relationship, none is more important than our ability to be "fully present" with our partner on a daily basis, or fully intimate.

What does it mean to be fully present? Let's take a look at several examples:

1) When we kiss, we are aware of the softness of our partners lips, the way we hold them, and they hold us.

2) When we talk, our attention is fully on their words, not while engaged on the computer, but we actually turn and face them.

3) During sex, we look into their eyes, we engage in words that prove how present we truly are.

4) If we desire a different type of lovemaking, or a different approach to the way we kiss, or they kiss us, we discuss this shift with love, outside of the bedroom.

Staying fully present in love means that we are willing to be truly vulnerable in love. It means we are willing to be rejected, to talk about intimate issues that before we stayed away from, so that we didn't rock the boat. It means that we'll be fully honest in what our needs are, and at the same time ask our partners what their needs are too.

As relationships grow, I've seen clients who hold resentments against their partners because their own desires are not fulfilled, yet they never shared with their lovers what those desires are. Yes, we expect that our lovers should be mind readers, we shy away from deep risk taking intimacy, and stay shrouded in a "partial" type of love.

If you're single, prepare now for your next relationship by reflecting back and seeing how you protected yourself in your past relationships from having to be fully present, fully honest, fully intimate. Everyone should write out how they'd like to shift, change right now, so that they begin to go for the love and intimacy we all desire.

Slow down, stay present in love, in all ways, and watch your new found intimacy bloom.

Sexuality, Intimacy & You Series

Next Date: Oct 23rd, 2009 - Friday 6-8pm

The topic of sexuality and intimacy is one of the most important issues in our lives, and yet for many it's one that is rarely if ever discussed. While we may feel brave to openly discuss our political or religious views, to often we shy away from exploring our intimate and sexual needs and desires.

What does sexuality mean to you? What does it mean to be truly intimate with yourself and/or another? Is it ok to take care of your sexual needs by yourself even if you are currently in a relationship? Can you openly share your sexual desires with your partner, even if they have no interest in fulfilling them? How do you fulfill your partners desires for true intimacy? Do you even know what they are?

And if you're currently single, how do you get your basic human needs for intimacy and sexuality met? Or are you waiting for someone else to meet them? And if you are, is this the healthiest way to live?

Right now, slow down and take a piece of paper and answer the questions asked in this article. See if you truly do know, or have even explored, the importance of this area of your life. Too many clients that I have worked with over the years have neglected to even try to gain insight into their own as well as their partners beliefs about the topics of sexuality and intimacy, and have watched their love fade due to the neglect of needs and desires.

Yes, I am asking you to be open and vulnerable. And yes, it is in this state that the most amazing experiences of life truly exist. Let's all reach this place together.

Join David for a new dynamic 3-hour workshop which covers information that will offer exciting breakthroughs in how we approach sexuality and intimacy as it relates to self love and acceptance, as well as our ability to love others more deeply.

Many of us shy away from talking about our own sexual needs whether we are currently alone or in a relationship with another. David's philosophy revolves around the concept that if we can begin to approach our feelings about sexuality and intimacy more freely, we then can use this newfound awareness to deepen our love of self, something that many people today struggle with deeply.

"Our gift of intimacy is one to cherish, acknowledge and explore if we are to continue our path to living a more aware, awakened life. It's exciting to see a liberated freedom for people who have explored their passion for intimacy, sexuality and love, and how this freedom positively affects every area of their lives."

Cost: $25 per person/per workshop. To Sign up call 941-266-7676 scroll down to pay online.

The Joy of Sex ...Now

As I listen to my clients concerns on a weekly basis, there seems to be an overwhelming loss of connection sexually with many of them and their partners.

Some blame the stress of the economy, others the rising responsibilities of family, school, and the juggling of other activities.

It concerns me greatly when I see a trend like this, as sex, sensuality and the deep intimacy that arises from this between two people is one of the greatest gifts relationships offer.

We hold, kiss, stroke and join in sexual union as to experience the divine and the human in one beautiful dance.

So when this is gone, or diminishes greatly, what are we left with???

Instead of answering that question, I'd rather have you focus on what we have, how deep our relationships can go...when we make sure that physical intimacy of all types.... from the holding of hands in public, to the text just to say hi, to a slow kiss, gazing in your lovers eyes, to the joining, releasing, and then joining again in sexual union ...stays a priority in your life right now.

Slow down.

Create a deeper bond regardless of what's going on in your outer world, by committing today to keep your inner world fulfilled through the regular act of sexual intimacy.

"Soul Mates" 2..the Next Level

By far, the last blog on this topic has generated as much response as anything else I've ever written. A very hot topic indeed.

I think one of the key lessons I'm hearing and learning is to relinquish "who" has the potential to truly influence your life...your growth..when in comes to intimate relationships.

In other words...could it be possible that EVERYONE your have ever dated...or will ever date..is a soul mate???

It seems to make a lot of sense, as anyone you or I have, or will, date, influences who we are and who we become.

One person may challenge your patience, while another may help you learn how to set healthy boundaries.

Someone else may be a great teacher for you sexually, yet another may be a reflection to you of your overpowering ego...or need to be right in all too many disagreements.

Some may show you the need to learn to fight for love...yet another may show you how to walk away with grace.

And then there is the one who mirrors your beauty in a fleeting comment. Another may help you go deeper on a spiritual path, and yet another may greatly influence how you raise kids or handle money.

Hmmmmm...do you see a pattern here?

Everyone you engage with intimately, regardless for how long, may just be a perfectly placed soul mate.

Slow down, and think about this.

As it means that every former lover, is an angel of love.

Love, peace David Essel www.talkdavid.com www.lifecoachuniverse.com
